Ellen Turner Carpenter

Ellen Turner Carpenter 93, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on July 27, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 30, 1916 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Gloss and Linnie Howard Turner. Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by her husband Reuben A. Carpenter, parents, four sons, four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by four sons, Raymond P. (Barbara), Atlanta Ga., Ricardo G. (Talesa), Russell H., and Reagan V. all of Little Rock; two daughters, Rita C. White and Rose M. (Carl) Cooke, both of Little Rock; ten grandchildren; ten great-grand children; and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday August 1, 2010, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Mount Zion Baptist Church, 908 Cross Street, Little Rock, Arkansas. Funeral services Monday, August 2, 2010, 11 a.m., Mount Zion Baptist Church, Reverend Rickey L. Lawson Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends at 2218 Wolfe and 14 Keltwood Cove in Little Rock. Services entrusted to Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, LR. Interment Haven of Rest Cemetery.
