Sara Mae Holt

Sara Mae "Sally" Ware Holt of Huntsville, Arkansas, died May 31, 2010 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 23, 1940 at Rogers, Arkansas, to Orsen "Bud" Ware and Daisy Crane Ware. She graduated from Kingston High School and attended Draughon School of Business in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She worked as a legal secretary prior to her marriage to Fuller Holt on August 2, 1962. She was a talented seamstress and homemaker, and served as the family historian and photographer, documenting events in her journal until recently. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and caregiver to her two sons, Hugh Holt and Joe Holt and her grandson, Thomas Whiteley. She was an active member of Living Water Baptist Church in Huntsville, Arkansas. She was a person of optimism and good cheer, always offering a smile and a kind word. As in Proverbs 31:10-31, her worth was far beyond precious jewels. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fuller Holt; her two sons, Hugh Holt and Joe Holt; and her grandson, Thomas Whiteley. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Danny Whiteley of Huntsville, Arkansas; one grandson, Benjamin Whiteley of Bentonville, Arkansas; two brothers, Howard James Ware of Kingston, Arkansas and Murray Ware of North Highlands, California; her aunt, June Crane; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her greatly. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 3, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Gary Faulkner officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Campground Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Greg Ware, Doug Ware, Bill Crane, Alan Crane, Ricky Fox, Danny Whiteley and Carl Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be member of Living Water Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
