William Roy Vandiver

Arkadelphia, AR, 1945 - 2010

William Roy Vandiver age 65, or Arkadelphia, Arkansas died at his home May 31, 2010. He was born to Roy C. and Mary Elizabeth Gill Vandiver, May 11, 1945 in Prescott, Arkansas. Mr. Vandiver was a Brakeman/Conductor for Missouri Pacific Railroad Company. He was a member of the Lions Club, Rotary Club, served on the City Council of Gurdon and was a member of Red Hill Hunting Club.
William is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Key Vandiver, one son, William B. "Bo" Vandiver (Thaisa) of Gurdon, Ark., and one daughter, Kari E. "K.B." Harper (DeWayne) of Arkadelphia, Ark., and his mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Vandiver of Gurdon, and four grandchildren, Brady, Lauren, Brittni, Hayden, and one great-grandchild, Dane, and many extended family and friends William is preceded in death by his father Roy C. Vandiver.
Visitation will be: tonight, June 1, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Pharr Funeral of Gurdon. Services will be: Wednesday June 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Pharr Funeral Home Chapel.
