Catherine Dorsey

Catherine G. Dorsey, 89, of Little Rock died Tuesday, June 1, 2010. She was born on September 2, 1920, at Keo, Arkansas, the daughter of Jessie Green Gibbs and Maudie Cantrell Gibbs. She graduated from Palmers School of Beauty Culture, was past president of Woman's City Club and GFWC, was a board member of Pulaski County Public Welfare. She was a member of Lynchview Baptist Church in North Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James D. Dorsey; and a brother, Charlie Gibbs. Survivors include a son, Dennis Dorsey and his wife Ann of Little Rock; a granddaughter, Krystal Eagle of Little Rock; an aunt, Gladys Woods of North Little Rock; and a niece, Patsy Hatch of Sherwood. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 4, 2010 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel (501)224-8300 with Reverend Ted Grove officiating. Interment will follow at Little Rock National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
