Robert Edward Garrison

Robert Edward Garrison, of Morrilton, passed away on June 5, 2010. He was born on Dec. 31, 1929 in Dermott, Ark. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Emma Garrison of Dermott; one brother Jr Garrison of McGehee; and one sister, Doris Wesson of Brownsville, Texas. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Marleta Harris Garrison of Morrilton; son, Michael Garrison and wife Cheryl of Russellville; son, Steve Garrison and wife Kim of Holly Springs; daughter, Becky Purifoy and husband Billy of Conway; brother, Ralph Garrison and wife Betty of Monticello; sister, Betty Whitmire of Austin, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Robert was a veteran of the Korean War, and retired from Arrow Automotive where he was the Maintenance Manager. Robert was a retired Deacon and member of First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, June 7, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home in Morrilton and the funeral will be held Tuesday, June 8 at 10 a.m. in the Harris Funeral Home Chapel.
