Cabe Isom

Cabe Isom passed to eternal life on June 7, 2010. He was born January 28, 1978, in Fort Worth, Texas. His early education took place at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock, Fort River School in Amherst, Massachusetts, and the Conway Public Schools. He professed faith and was confirmed at First United Methodist Church in Conway. He grew up taking part in the programs there for young people, and he was involved with Ozark Mission Project as a teen. In high school he was a sports writer for the school newspaper and won the state journalism award for sports writing. He attended Arkansas Governor's School and graduated from Conway High School in 1996. He also attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and UALR. He was a lover of Led Zeppelin, Guns ‘N Roses, and his dog Milla. He was loved by his family and was a congenial host, opening his home to his diverse community of friends. Those friends affectionately referred to him as "The Rock Band Guru." He was a Razorback fan, and children and animals loved him. He is survived by his parents, James and Toran Isom. He is also survived by his sister Daria Isom, her fiancé Preston Meers, and Cabe's two nieces, Loral Petty and Caelyn Meers, all of Conway. His maternal grandparents are Bill and Betty Pate of Conway. His paternal grandmother is Ruth Isom of Clinton. His aunts and uncles are Kerry and Mark Stitch of Conway and Gary and Carol Isom of Little Rock. His cousins are Brandon and Danyelle Lupkey and Bo Stitch of Conway. There will be a memorial service on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Conway. Cabe's life can be honored with a donation to FUMC of Conway, UAMS, or Arkansas Hospice.
