Jim Watts

James Milton "Jim" Watts, 58, of Arkadelphia, died Tuesday, June 8 at 12:35 a.m. at Baptist Health Medical Center of cancer. He was born December 8, 1951, in Arkadelphia, the son of Juanita Stevens. Jim was an active member of Second Baptist Church, Arkadelphia, and was employed by the Arkadelphia Human Development Center. Jim is survived by his wife Phyllis Ann, daughter, Emily Merryman and husband Jon of Nashville, Tennessee, daughter, Jessica Doose and husband Scott of Little Rock, grandsons, Dennis Merryman of Nashville and Dean Doose expected in July; mother, Juanita Stephens of Ohio; brothers, Tom Hancock of Arkadelphia, and Larry Smith of Arizona, and sister, Shasta Hall of Ohio. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday June 11, at Second Baptist Church Arkadelphia with Rev. Stan Parris officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Second Baptist.
