Beverly Ann (Merritt) Huff, age 60, of Arkadelphia, AR and Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Monday June 7, 2010 after losing her courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born April 7, 1950 in Hot Springs to Eugene (Red) Merritt and Addie Pearl (Mowery) Merritt. She graduated from Arkadelphia High School, attended Henderson State University and Arkadelphia Beauty College. She married Doyle Huff Jr. in 1969. She owned and operated the Daisy Queen on 10th Street. She was also a member of the Third Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother Addie Pearl (Mowery) Merritt and infant daughter, Angel Huff. She is survived by her husband Doyle Huff Jr. and their two sons, Jon and wife Charlene Huff of Marathon, Florida, Jeremy and wife Marcella along with one precious grandson, Kai Ashton Huff of Vail, Arizona. Her father Eugene (Red) Merritt and his wife Patricia, two sisters, Brenda (Merritt) Livingston and Melanne Merritt Anthony and three brothers, Bob Merritt, Steve Merritt and Farris Merritt. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Greg Latham officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
