Briticia Latrice Walters

Briticia "Brisha" Latrice Walters was born on May 22, 1975 to Phyllis and Courtney Duhart in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the oldest of four children. Her great-aunt, Annie L. Williams and her grandmother, Mary Jewel Graves preceded her in death. Briticia was raised in the St. Mark Church Family and accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Mark on April 16, 1989 under the leadership of Bishop Steven Arnold. Briticia and her brother Carey were the first members baptized by Bishop Arnold. Briticia graduated from Hall High School in 1993. She was attending UALR majoring in nursing and received her Associate Degree from Pulaski Technical College. Briticia was employed at Church's Chicken for 10 years, by M.M. Cohn's for five years and Baptist Health Center for seven years. While employed at Baptist, Briticia never missed a day of work. Britica's nurturing spirit enabled her to raise three siblings and on October 23, 2009, Briticia gave birth to her son Jayden Walters, who was the joy of her life. Briticia leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Jayden Walters; father and mother, Courtney and Phyllis Duhart Sr.; grandmother, Maurice Duhart; great-aunt, Azzine Barnes, Kansas City, Kan.; siblings, Carey (Ileana) Duhart, Little Rock, Ark., Tawanna Duhart, Dallas, Texas, and Courtney Duhart Jr., Little Rock, Ark.; special aunt, Shirley (George) Graves-Coleman; aunts, Sheri, Gail, and Wana Duhart; uncles, Dwight Duhart, Derrick (Teresa) Duhart; special cousins, Marchaz (Triphose) Stout, Monique Graves, Dereka, Mya, and Malik Duhart, Nicki Montgomery, and Kelli Williams; and a host of relatives, co-workers and friends. Family hour: 4-5 p.m., Sunday at Robinson Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark Baptist Church, Bishop Steven Arnold officiating.
