Victoria A. Sixour

Victoria A. Sixour, age 96, of Lenoir City, Tenn., passed away Friday, June 4, 2010, at the home of her son. Victoria was formerly of Syracuse, N.Y. where she spent most of her life as a seamstress for area stores. In this field she had a unique talent. Victoria would go to New York City and see all the latest in styles. She then would come to Syracuse and make clothes from memory. She enjoyed the many get together's of the New York Central Railroad as meetings were held all over the country. Preceded in death by husband, William A. Sixour of Syracuse, and her daughter, Marsha Hogg (Robert) of Little Rock, AR. She is survived by her son, Charles F. (Chuck) Sixour and wife, Jeanette of Lenoir City; grandsons, Mark (Mollie) Sixour of Atlanta, Ga., and Bill (Vickie) Sixour of Vancouver, Wash.; granddaughters: Sue (John) Lewis of Cypress, Texas, Jane (Bill) Gruschow of Canandaigua, N.Y., Mary (Tom) Addley of Boiling Springs, S.C., Pam (Pete) DeLorme of Lenoir City, Tenn., Catherine (Chris) Pranskatis, Ely, Minn.; several great-grandchildren. Services are being planned in New York. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 301 Hickory Creek Road, Lenoir City, Tenn. 37771.
