EUGENE A. SCHAY, age 92, of North Little Rock, died on Thursday June 10, 2010. He was born on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1918 to Charles J. and Mary Schay. Mr. Schay was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Catherine Schay. He was survived by a son, Gene W Schay and wife Maria T. Ulloa of North Richland Hills, Texas; three grandchildren, Tracy Curry, Ashley Gormley and Kelly Helser; six great-grandchildren, Wesley Curry, Aussie Curry, Brandon Gromley, Brody Gromley, Benjamin Gromley and Luke Helser; in addition to two nephews, Al Schay and Jimmy Schay. Mr. Schay was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of North Little Rock, in addition to being a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He also honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War Two and participated in the occupation forces in Tokyo. He retired from Graybar Electric Company after working for them for 35 years. Eugene was also an avid fisherman. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tueday, June 15, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 J.F.K. Blvd, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Little Rock. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock, Ark.
