Eula L Hall

Eula L. Hall, age 84, of North Little Rock, passed from this life Friday, June 11, 2010. Mrs. Hall was born to Amy and M.W. Lipe on November 23, 1925, and grew up in Logan County. She attended nursing school at St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith and later spent 30 years on the staff at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, where she eventually became head nurse on the 2 East Unit, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Leland Hall, as well as by four siblings: Joseph Lipe, Barney Lipe, Amos Lipe, and Helen Harris. She is survived by a son, Gerald (Betty) Hall, of Ratcliff, and a daughter, Nancy Hall, of North Little Rock. She is also survived by her twin sister, Sula Shock, of Conway; by her grandchildren Jennifer (Mike) Wallsmith and Jeff (Veronica) Hall of Ozark, and Jason Hall of Ratcliff; and by a great-granddaughter, Emma, of Ozark, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews, and by special friends Roland and Rosemary Bryant. Following her retirement from the nursing profession, Mrs. Hall devoted many hours to quilting and other handcrafts, often participating in craft shows and providing decorative items to the shop at the Arkansas Territorial Restoration. She also enjoyed traveling and having the opportunity to view the works of other artisans. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock (501-791-7400). Services for Mrs. Hall will be held Monday, June 14 at 11 A.M. in the chapel at the funeral home, with Rev. Richard Mitchell and Rev. John Alston presiding. Burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot will follow. Memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. Hall may be made to Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS, 4301 W.
