Bob C. Whitson

Bob C. Whitson, 75, of Roland died Sunday, June 13, 2010. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 16, 1935, the son of Carl L. and Maxine Wilkerson Whitson. He was a 1953 graduate of Little Rock High School and received his MBA Degree from UALR. He was a Eagle Scout, was awarded the Silver Beaver, Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow and was a member of the Owl Patrol Wood Badge. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Williams Whitson; two sons, Mark Whitson and Jeff Whitson; a daughter, Laura Bromley; four grandchildren, Cassidy Whitson, Blake Whitson, Brennen Whitson, Ariane Whitson; two sisters, Diane Cavett (Ben) and Sandra (Ed) Brocksmith. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Rick Jaggers officiating. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery near Shirley. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501) 224-8300.
