Clyde E Smith

Clyde E. Smith, 89 of Sardis, passed away June 14, 2010 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton . He was born January 30, 1921 in Marche , Arkansas ; he was the son of Carrie Smith & Laura Henry Smith. Clyde was a retired carpenter, who loved wood-working, he was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Clyde also loved playing golf in the Pro-Ams Golf Tournaments, as well as hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, two sisters, and a daughter Janice Markham. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Smith of Sardis; Daughters Brenda Bearden of Sardis, Linda Murray of Alexander; Sons Ronald Smith of Alexander, Larry Smith of Lexa, Darrell Smith of Palm Springs, Calif.; a sister, Maxine Callaway of California, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander.
