Gladys "Daris" Dirion Brazeal

Gladys "Daris" Dirion Brazeal age 84 of Benton, Ark. and formerly of Hughes, Ark. and Senatobia, Miss. went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2010. She was born on December 28, 1925 to parents, Oscar R and Gladys I. (Smith) Dirion. She was a former homemaker and cashier of Churcks Grocery in Hughes, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Linda Gail Cox Brown, two grandchildren, Doris Louise Cox and leon E.K. Brown IV. She is survived by three sons, Glenn E.Brazeal and wife Reeda of Elfrida, Ariz., Howard Dennis Brazeal of Southaven, Miss. and Rodney M Brazeal and wife Michell of Benton, Ark.; three daughters, Judy C. (Brazeal) Hataway of Coffeesprings Ala., Sandra K (Brazeal) Banks and David Thompson of Alexander, Ark. (whom she loved as a son) and Leiona J. (Brazeal) Cook and husband Charles of Senatobia, Miss. Memma was blessed to have 35 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren who she adored and was so proud of each and every one of them. She was blessed to spend her last days with her little fifth generation Jeremiah, son of great-granddaughter, Emilie Sims, who faithfully brougth the baby to visit with his great-great-Memma. "Daris" was preceded in death by two sisters, Jewell Dirion Springer and Georgia Ann Dirion Tidwell. Survived by two sisters, Bettye Dirion Catt of Floral, Ark. and Shirley Dirion Rasdon of Jonesboro, Ark. whom she loved as her own children. She leaves behind speacial nieces, nephews and dear friends. One brother-in-law, Jr. Tidwell of Oregon. She attended Celebration Baptist Church in Haskell, Ark., former member of Hughes Church of God in Hughes, Ark. Her pastor, Brother Darrin Smith of Celebration Baptist in Haskell, Ark. and Brother Del Hayes of New Hope Assembly of God in Senatobia, Miss. will be officiating the services. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Tuesday at Roller-Citizens Funeral in West Memphis and services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday in their Chapel with burial at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark. Pallbearers will be, Charles C. Cook III, David Thompson, Danny Rasdon, Randy Tidwell, Tim Lee, and Tony Kifer. Honorary Pall Bearers are all grandsons and William H. "Buddy" Cox Sr.
