Melva M. Jenkins

Melva M. Jenkins, age 98, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was born February 6, 1912 in Emmet, Arkansas to the late Edward Augustus Ellington and Beatrice Holland Ellington. She was a loving mother and special grandmother. She was a homemaker, a great cook and loved gardening. She was a faithful member for over 65 years at Temple Baptist Church of Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Fletcher Jenkins; granddaughter, Vickie Snell; brother, Dalton Smith; and sister, Eunice Johnson. She is survived by daughters, Patsy Cline (Don) of Maumelle; Gayle Snell (Dick) of Emmet; six grandchildren, Donna Madden (Ray); Richard Snell (Laura); Dean Cline (Tina); David Cline (Shelly); Robyn Hall; Drew Cline (Lori); and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800 with Drew Cline officiating.
