Sherry LaFont, 57, of Bauxite passed away peacefully Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was born February 18, 1953 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Ms. LaFont was of the Baptist faith; a Registered Nurse and an avid soccer fan. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Lee LaFont; a grandmother, Edna Barrera and a grandson, Travis Riley. Survivors include one son, James Michael Wethington of Hot Springs; one daughter & son-in-law, April "Adria" (Ken) Riley of Bauxite; her father, Jack (Lavern) LaFont of Royal; her mother, Kay Watkins Garroutte of Hot Springs; three sisters, Debbie (John) Thornton, Kay Brooks and Mary (Larry) Mallette all of Hot Springs; one brother, Christopher LaFont of Hot Springs; two stepbrothers, Billy Runyon and Dale Runyon both of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren, Adrian Gregory Wethington, Ashleigh Riley, Nicholas Ballew, Bryan Riley, Cory Ballew, Calvin Riley, Jason Moore and James Ryan Wethington. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Deacon Joe Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joe Wethington, Eddy Wethington, John Thornton, Ken Riley, Chris LaFont, Greg Wethington, Scott Kimpton and Nick Ballew. Honorary pallbearers are WFA Capitals 97, Tammie Furr and Dr. Joel Dworkin. Arrangements are with Hot Springs Funeral Home. Online condolences at www.hotspringsfh.com.
