Sandra Sue (Martin) Kelley

Sandra Sue (Martin) Kelley, 67, of Garfield, Ark. passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Overland Park Regional Hospital. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 12 noon, Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. A private inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be 11-12 noon, Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Lung Association. Sandra was born on August 4, 1942 in Kansas City, Kan., to Lyle Richard and Thelma Rita (Dotson) Martin. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1960. Her and her husband Gerald, built, owned and operated Kelley's Grill and Bar in Basehor, Kan. until 1996. After they retired, they moved to Beaver Lake in Garfield, Ark. Sandra was an active member of the Basehor Booster Club, 4-H Club and the PTA. She also frequently volunteered as a room mother at school and at church. She was a member of the KQHA where she rode and showed horses in both English and Western pleasure events. Sandra enjoyed league bowling, and absolutely loved cooking and baking for her family, friends and church functions. She was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Bentonville, Ark. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle R. and Thelma R. Martin of Roeland Park, Kan. Survivors include her devoted husband, Gerald W. Kelley of Garfield, Ark; son, Mark Sanchez and his wife Connie of Lansing, Kan.; daughter, Gina Sanchez of Mountain Home, Ark; and one sister, Sharon Forbach and her husband Larry of Olathe, Kan.
