Frank E. Walden

Frank E. Walden, 76, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Wilson, Arkansas to the late Earl and Naomi King Walden. He was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Walden. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Florence Walden of Jonesboro; daughter Deborah Lynn Golden of Pocahontas; son Frank David Walden and wife Lisa of Jonesboro, son John Nelson Walden and wife Sherri, of Pocahontas; sister Dorthy Buttry of Germantown, Tenn.; brother, Richard Walden of Jonesboro; and two granddaughters, Lyndsey Golden of Seattle, Wash., and Kelsey Golden of Jonesboro. He is also survived by many friends and business associates. He attended Arkansas State University, and was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was well known in northeast Arkansas and was a member of many civic, political, and business organizations. He was owner of numerous businesses in Arkansas, including wholesale distribution, farming, banks and automobile dealerships. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, June 21, 2010, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Eulogist Murl Smith will officiate.
