Fredrick "Rick" Harry Smith II, age 60, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2010 after suffering from a heart attack. He was born March 14, 1950 in Shreveport, La. to the late Harry and Willie Smith. He lived in Bismarck, Ark. and had a career in sales for over 30 years and was currently employed by Congo Fireplace and Patio. Rick was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He was an avid fisherman and duck hunter and had a passion for the outdoors. He had a great love for animals and was gifted in caring for them. Family and friends will deeply miss him for his unique sense of humor and his generous heart. Above all, he loved his family and was a wonderful husband and father and treasured his friends. He was survived by his devoted and loving wife Sharon, of Bismarck; daughter Laura Campbell, and husband Chris, of Little Rock; daughter Kara Mincy, and husband James Andrew, of Pine Bluff; step-daughter Kali Estrada, and husband Ezekiel, of Little Rock; grandson Daniel Mincy; soon-to-arrive granddaughter, Audrey Campbell; and his sister, Patricia Knox of Memphis. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 22 at 10 a.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. Burial will follow at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are welcome for visitation at Roller-Owens Funeral Home on Monday, June 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. and can sign the online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/owens.
