Willis Thilbert Sanders

Willis Thilbert Sanders, 63, of North Little Rock, died Saturday, June 19, 2010. He was born in Des Arc, Arkansas on October 1, 1946 to the late Thilbert Sanders and Lena Britt. He was a member of the Scimitar Shrine Center, Adoniram Masonic Lodge #288 and the Scottish Rite. He retired from Gibbs Service Company after many years of faithful service. He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters, Joyce Sanders, and Ruby Ramsey. He is survived by his mother, Lena Britt; wife, Carolyn Sanders; son, David M. (Laura) Sanders of Savannah, Georgia; daughter, Shellah (John) Rogers of Little Rock; five grandchildren, Edward, Micah, Sarah, and Martha Sanders, and Devin Rogers, two sisters; Becky Stover of Ft. Smith and Delcie Davis of Des Arc, three half-sisters; Dixie Eldridge, Betty Barnette, and Maybelle McCarty. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10 a.m., at Lakeside Baptist Church in Des Arc. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas (501-791-7400).
