Peggy E. VanPelt

Peggy E. VanPelt of Sherwood passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010. She was born January 16, 1935 in North Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Earl T. and Mae Ruth Blalock. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael VanPelt. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Henry Leslie VanPelt; a daughter-in-law, Kay VanPelt of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Janet VanPelt of North Little Rock; son Gary and wife Elwanda of Sherwood; daughter, Carol Taylor and husband Bobby of Scott; nine grandchildren, Brianne, Brian, Lesli, Beth, Jacob, Kylie, Brent, Rebekah and Jesse; four great-grandchildren, Riley, Dylon, Bryce and Shiloh. Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for others and her home was always warm and open. The family appreciates the professional care and personal kindness demonstrated by the Baptist Health Hospice of Little Rock. Funeral services will be at 10: 30 a.m., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
