Judy Kruse, 53, left her present home in Cabot, Arkansas to reside forever in Heaven on the 23rd day of June, 2010. Surrounded by the love of her family, her wish of becoming an angel has finally come true. Born on December 22, 1956, in Peoria, Illinois, Judy learned the virtues of a rewarding life from Agnes and Ed Girtman in Metropolis, Illinois. She graduated from Metropolis Community High School and later lived throughout the country as the loved wife of Bill Kruse, a member of the U.S. Air Force. Although she held many miscellaneous jobs throughout her life, two gave rise to her career. First, she was a loving, caring mother and a nurturing wife that one could only dream of having. Judy's other career was battling breast cancer and being an inspiration to countless others. Despite having the odds against her, Judy continued to defy all statistics by enduring unimaginable pain throughout her difficult battle. Dr. Brad Baltz, Judy's primary doctor over the last decade, emphasized this point in his own words, "[She] never complained or showed any sign of stress, and yet we were the ones who were lifted up by [her] visits." Judy is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bill; her son, Michael; her mother, Joann Gunderson; her stepfather, Dick Gunderson; her sister, Brenda; and all the extended members of her family including those from Dr. Baltz's office and the countless others who will forever hold Judy in a special place in their hearts. The celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral home with Rev. Alan Alford officiating. Burial will follow at Old Austin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, (501) 843-5816.
