Steve Clemon "Bucky" Synco

Steve Clemon "Bucky" Synco, 78, of Stuttgart, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Baptist Health-Little Rock. Mr. Synco was born July 19, 1931, in the Sunshine community to Climmon C. and Viola Cecile Askew Synco. A graduate of Stuttgart High School, Mr. Synco farmed as a young man. He was a medic for the Arkansas National Guard and an auxiliary game warden who loved hunting and fishing. He worked as an electrician for several years helping many people with electrical problems and retired after 32 years with Riceland Foods. He loved gardening, where he felt closer to God, and had recently grown an interest in gourmet cooking. He was a member of First Christian Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Charline Frances Childers Synco; son, Steven Wayne Synco; and two sisters, Patricia Synco and Mary Hickman. Survivors are son, Charles Clemmon Synco and wife Margie of Humphrey; daughters, Vicki Lynn Synco McPherson and husband Gene of Seabrook, Texas, and Donna Dianne Synco Bergom of Stuttgart; sister, Jean Seidenschwarz and husband Robert of Slovak; six grandchildren, Lisa (Geoff) Coen of League City, Texas, Cynthia Haynes of Stuttgart, Jovi Synco and Mary Synco of Humphrey, Michael McPherson of Webster, Texas, and James Haynes of Stuttgart; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services, officiated by Kenneth Loyd Synco, are 10 a.m. Monday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Turpin Funeral Home.
