Luva Ferguson Griffin, age 96, of Morrilton, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010. She was born Jan. 16, 1914, in Columbia, La., a daughter of Lucius McClain Ferguson and Alice Ida Adcock Ferguson. She was the widow of Barney Griffin. Mrs. Griffin was a charter member of Morrilton First Assembly of God and served as a secretary-treasurer and Sunday school teacher. She and her husband Barney were the owners of Hillcrest Florist. Survivors include her daughter, LaVada (Willis) Price; grandson, Griff (Donna) Price, and a great-grandson, Ethan, all of Morrilton. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, at Morrilton First Assembly of God with Rev. Ronnie Freeman, Rev. Joe Alzate, and Rev. Euna Mae Gibby officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at the funeral home.
