Vernon Smith

Vernon Smith, 63, of Romance, died June 27, 2010. Mr. Smith was born January 30, 1947 in El Paso, Ark. to the late William and Ella Mae Bates Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of the Vilonia Wagon and Saddle Club and the El Paso First Baptist Church. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Smith; four brothers, Tommy, Glen, Louis Frelan, and Dewitt Smith; and three sisters, Rita Mae Oakley and Elaine Redding, and Morine Smith. Surviving in life is his wife, Dianna "Sue" Smith; one son, Doug Smith of Romance; two daughters, Angela Anderson and Sheila Clubb both of Beebe; one brother, Donald Ray Smith; five sisters, Edith Banard, Alice Thompson, Freda Kirkland, Reba Short, Arlena Riley; seven grandchildren, Johnathan, Logen, Mckenzie, Sydney, Douglas "Cain", Hayden, and Connor; and one great-grandchild, Tabor. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 1 from 5-7 p.m. at the Searcy-McEuen Chapel in Searcy, Arkansas.
