Jack W. Bland

Jack W. Bland, 86, of Morrilton, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010. Mr. Bland was a WWII Army Air Force Signal Corp Veteran. He was a past member of the South Conway County School District Board 1958-1967, Fish Lake Club, and former owner of Petit Jean Headlight 1962-1964. He was a Morrilton City Alderman 1962-1964 and Conway County Probate and Conway County Clerk 1967-1977. He was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Morrilton. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Laree Rhoads Bland; sister, Nell Amaden of Lonoke; son-in-law, Fred Hill of Morrilton; grandson, Cody Hill of Morrilton; nephews, Howard Amaden (Linda) of Lonoke, and Joe Amaden (Carolyn) of West Monroe, La. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, November 4, at the Harris Chapel with Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Burial will be at Old Liberty Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
