Loucile Cothrine Sherrill, age 68, of Batesville, died Oct. 29, 2010, in Little Rock, Ark. She was born April 5, 1942, in Violet Hill, Ark. She was a proud citizen of Batesville, Ark. and always made it known to every one she met. Loucile Cothrine Sherrill was raised in LaCrosse, Ark. and picked cotton during the summer months. Her family migrated to Batesville, Ark. and the girls attended Ethel O. Miller School. She graduated on May 25, 1964. She later went to Cosmetology school in Pine Bluff, Ark. where she obtained her licenses. She worked for the Independence County Home Health office for over 10 years and was a licensed beautican for over 30 years. She also owned several properties and opened the Miller gym on Sunday's. There is no greater love than the love she had for the youth in the community and everyone she met. Loucile is survived by two sons; Harlan Sanders, and Zachary Sherrill; two daughters, April Sherrill and Nichole Sherill; three brothers, Bobby Cotherine, Joe Cotherine, and Douglas Cotherine; two sisters, Mary McBride, and Rose Ella Mills; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Service will be Saturday, November 6 at Westside Baptist Church in Batesville at 11 a.m. Visitation will be Friday, November 5 at Willis Funeral Service in Batesville from 5-7 p.m.
