Marion L. "Sugar" Long

Marion L. "Sugar" Long, age 80, of Lake Village, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. He was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Marianna, Ark., the son of the late Marshall L. Long and Flossie L. Leasure Long and was a retired heavy equipment operator, a U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Greenville. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and by two brothers, Gorden and Huey P. Long. Survivors are his wife, Sue Soder Long of Lake Village; a sister, Joyce Vaught of Lake Village; a nephew, Jay Vaught and his wife, Sherry and two great-nieces, Rebekah and Sarah Vaught. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stephen Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
