Earl Arliss Pike, Sr., 85, of Searcy, AR and formerly of Hot Springs died Nov. 8, 2010. He was born March 29, 1925 in Hot Springs to the late Arliss C. Pike & Lela Coomer Pike. Mr. Pike served in the U.S. Army, was a member of New Hope Church and a truck driver. After his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling the country in their RV. Mr. Pike is survived by wife, Bernice Bivens Pike of Searcy; three sons: Earl Pike Jr., (Mary) of Higginson, G.R. Pike (Linda) of Searcy and David Pike also of Searcy; brothers: Leonard Pike (Roxie) and Marvin Pike; sister, Dorothy Selzer (Joe); seven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10:00 Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Guests may register at http://www.caruth-hale.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the AR Children's Hospital.
