Harry Stone, age 85, of North Little Rock and Jacksonville ascended to the streets of Heaven on Sunday, November 7, 2010, where his beautiful wife Virginia of 57 years has been anxiously waiting. The dance floor at Heaven's Knights of Columbus Hall is full of their family and friends as well as his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ excited for his arrival. He was born May 4, 1925 in Altamont, Illinois to the late Dudley Bryant and Minnie Stone of E. St. Louis, Illinois. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Beiber and Selma Briggs. Harry enlisted in the Army Air Corp in December 1941 after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He served in Europe and was honorably discharged at Scott Field, Illinois, in October 1945. Professionally, he was a Loss Control Manager for Fireman's Fund American Insurance and a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Harry was survived by his daughters Sherry (Bud) Steele of Little Rock; Vickey (Bennie) Woodward of Jacksonville; son, Curtis L. Stone (Debbie) of North Little Rock. Grandchildren, Bryant Steele; Shannon Steele; Ramona Steele; Lana Gregory; Kelly Stout; Ryan Stone and Dylan Stone, plus seven great-grandchildren. He was also survived by one sister, Alice Jestus of Dupo, Ill.; two brothers, Clifford Stone of Sarasota, Fla. and Jimmy Stone of Indianapolis, Ind. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Riverwood Memorial Gardens with Reverend Keith Comer officiating.Open viewing Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F.
