Margie Swopes

Margie Swopes, 92, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010. She was born April 5, 1918 in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas to Clayton and Icey Williams Crothurs. Margie was a member of Pershing United Pentecostal Church. She is survived by two brothers, H.A. Gunter and wife, Sharon, of North Little Rock and Leon Gunter and wife, Jean, of Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Swopes; and two sisters, Dorothy Blassingame and Alma Mullins. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
