Ordie A. Watts, 74, of Monticello passed away November 11, 2010. He was born in Wilmar, AR on November 20, 1935. He is preceded in death by a son, Douglas (Doug) Watts, his mother Maude Jayroe Watts and father Ordie A. Watts Sr. and a brother, Clois (Red) Watts. He worked at Faught Exxon Service Center in Little Rock, owned and operated Mobil Service Station in Monticello. He was appointed Sheriff and Collector of Drew County in 1970, elected Drew County Clerk in 1974 and 1976, and was elected Drew County Judge in 1980. He was member of the Arkansas County Sheriff; Arkansas County Clerk; Arkansas County Judge Associations, and liaison for Governor Clinton. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Monticello and member of the Kiwanis and Optimist Club. Survivors include one son, Ordie Dale Watts (Monica) of Kentucky; one brother, Carl Watts of Monticello; four sisters, Lena Callender (Charles) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Betty Totten of Monticello, Joan Davidson of Little Rock and Sue Rodgers (Ervin) of Crossett; two granddaughters, Kim Hauk (Fred) of Dumas, Lynnda Watts of Texas, one great-granddaughter, Hailee Hauk of Dumas; and a host of nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Jessica Russell, his caregiver and also thanks to Hospice Home Care of Monticello. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday at Stephenson Dearman Funeral home.
