Elmer Joe Nugent

Reverend Elmer Joe Nugent, 62, passed away at his home Thursday, November 11, 2010. He was the Senior Pastor of First Assembly of God Church and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his son, Nathaniel Lee "Nate" Nugent; parents, Lee and Jewell Carson Nugent; and a sister, Debbie Howsen. He is survived by his wife, Rita Stokes Nugent; sons, Nick Nugent, Neal Nugent and wife, Emily; daugter-in-law, Desiree Nugent all of Camden, Ark.; sisters, Mary Williams and husband, Andy of Redfield, Ark. and Edna Mitchell of West Helena, Ark.; grandsons, Braxton and Branton Nugent; granddaughters, Ally Beth, Nicki, Kaitlyn and Hannah Nugent; nieces, Lori Partridge, Jamie Williams, Amanda Mitchell and Cindy Klitzke; and nephews, Zach, Hayden and Tate Stokes. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at First Assembly of God Church, 1275 Maul Road, Camden, Ark. with burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Reverend Mike Mille of White Dove Fellowship will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at First Assembly of God. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Missions. The Brotherhood will serve as pallbearers.
