Susan Dora Curry Warner died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on November 2, 1936, in Springfield, Missouri, to the late Katherine Light Curry and William Holmes Curry. After her graduation from Fort Smith High School in 1954, she married Cecil Randolph Warner, Jr. An avid reader and patron of the arts, she loved fine art and architecture, folk and classical music, attending the opera and symphony, and lively political debates. She was a gracious hostess, fine cook, and adventurous traveler who inspired a passion for the arts and travel in those who loved her. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Ft. Smith, Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, and of St. James Episcopal Church in Springfield, Missouri. She was active in the Red Cross, the Junior League of Ft. Smith, Ft. Smith Regional Art Museum, the Arkansas Arts Center and various charitable organizations. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Lazarus and Jane Crowder; her brothers, James Curry, Patrick Curry and John Curry; her sisters-in-law, Janice Powell, Vestal Curry, Sally Curry, Jean Curry and Barbara Curry; her children and their spouses, Susan and Henry Skelsey, Jane and Franklin Moore, Randolph and Deborah Warner, Matthew and Allison Warner, and Katherine and Steven Ross; and her grandchildren, Henry, Charles, Nicholas, and Anna Skelsey; Nathaniel and Eliot Moore; Randolph and Mary Whitten Warner; Jacob and Alice Warner; and Kaitlin and Emma Ross and 22 nieces and nephews. She was dedicated to her friends and family and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers William Holmes Curry Jr. and David Curry. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 2 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
