William "Bill" Joe Wright, of Houston, went to be with his heavenly Father on November 11, 2010, at the age of 75. He was born on June 11, 1935 in Hurley, Missouri to Lyman and Goldie Ailshie Wright. He was retired from a long career in Retail Sales management, working for J.J. Newberry Corp., Wilber Britt Ben Franklin Stores, Ben Franklin Corporation (as Regional Sales Manager), Family Dollar and Fred's. He managed stores in Missouri, Alabama, Ohio, Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, and Arkansas. Bill was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church. He has served as Treasurer, Board Member, and Sunday School teacher. He was a current member of the Perryville Immanuel Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid Razorback fan and member of the Petit Jean Razorback Club. He enjoyed watching sports and traveling, and also loved to read books. Bill was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bill was preceded in death by one son, Steven Joel Wright and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Virginia Roberson Wright; daughters, Michelle (Leo) Hernandez, Trudy (Mike) Kordsmeier, Renee (Calvin) Marlow; sons, Michael (Shannon) Wright, Buddy (Kim) Rathbun; granddaughters, Meghan Denoyer, Isabella Hernandez, Bailey Wright, Lilah Hernandez, Tiffany Wilkerson, April (Joseph) Hamlin, Rebecca Rathbun, Allyson (B.J.) Ponder, Kristen Rathbun; grandsons, Jordan Wright, David Wilkerson, Kody Marlow; great-granddaughters, Eden Wilkerson, Presley Ponder, TeáWilkerson, Allanya Wilkerson, and Brookelyn York; great-grandsons, Nicholas Wilkerson, Logan Ponder, and Bradley Hamlin. Pallbearers will be Jordan Wright, Kody Marlow, Mike Stewart, Harold Moore, Kenneth Hester, and Jim Roberson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Hamlin, B.J. Ponder, and Tommy Ottendorf. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, November 15, at Harris Chapel with Bro. Gerald Alexander and Bro. James Mullins officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday, November 14, from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
