Odis R. Brothers
Jackson, TN, 1931 - 2010Odis R. Brothers, age 79, formerly of Avilla, passed away Nov. 13, 2010 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Jackson, Tenn. He was born on Oct. 12, 1931 in Runyan Acres, Ark., to the late Glenn and Mary Brothers. Mr. Brothers served in the United States Army as a Master Sergeant and was stationed in Korea. He was a lifelong carpenter and a custom cabinet builder. Mr. Brothers served as Assistant Fire Chief at the Springhill Fire Department. His hobbies included motorcycles, dune buggies, hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Troy Brothers and Henry Brothers, a sister Jewel Mooningham and a stepson, Roger Middlebrooks. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Joe and Vickie Granade of Jackson, Tenn.; grandson, Justin Granade of Nashville, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Kari Ross; and great-granddaughter, Rachel Grace, both of Baneberry, Tenn. In addition, he is survived by Bill and Donna Hollinger—very special friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton. Interment will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton. Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
