Betty Dorsey Powell

Betty Dorsey Powell, 80, of Little Rock died Sunday, November 14, 2010. She was born on December 21, 1929 at England, Arkansas, a daughter of the late James Walter Dorsey and Edna Catherine Smith Dorsey. She was a 1951 graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were her husband of 57 years, Ben E. Powell Sr.; a son, Ben Edward Powell Jr.; her parents; three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Kathy Driexler and her family of Rogers, Arkansas; a sister, Mildred Bryant; nieces; nephews; and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Faith United Methodist Church with Reverend Sue Howe officiating.
