Hallous Doyne Harlan, 82, of Sherwood, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010. He was born to the late Silas Paden and Lillian Dean Harlan in Mt. Vernon, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Retha Harlan. Doyne was a member and former deacon of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. He was past vice-president and president- elect of the NLR Lions Club. He worked at Russell Chevrolet for 25 years and established Doyne Harlan Chevrolet/Mercedes Dealership in Tupelo, Miss. Mr. Harlan was in the Army National Guard and was an avid Razorback fan for many years. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Roberts Harlan; son, Allan Harlan (Shelly); two daughters, Diane Cunningham (Bill) and Angela Steele; four grandchildren, Mitchell Harlan, Paige Kibbey (Jarred), Hope Jones (Stuart) and Kendall Steele; one great-grandchild, Noah Kai Jones; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the funeral home.
