Vera L. Edmonston passed away at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock on Sunday, November 14, 2010. She was a long time resident of North Little Rock, Ark. prior to moving to Benton, AR in 2005. She was a member of First Baptist Church, North Little Rock and a retired bookkeeper. Vera was born on November 11, 1929 to Ernest and Mabel Evans in Piedmont, Mo., and graduated from Piedmont High School, Class of 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Fred Evans; nephew, Allen Evans, and the father of her children, R.H. Edmonston. Left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Vickie (John) Ramsey, Heber Springs, Ark., Terri (Mike) Webb, Jacksonville, Ark., Toni Hyatt, North Little Rock, Ark., Tracy (Jent) Monk, Benton, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Jody(Mandy) Parker, Wichita, Kan., Brian (Holly) Amaden, Jacksonville, Ark., Jacob (Brittany) Hyatt, North Little Rock, Kreglyn Hyatt, North Little Rock, Jennifer, Kelsie and Lauren Monk all of Iowa; six great-grandchildren; Kyle Parker, Kylie Ann Parker, Claudia Amaden, Krisa Jones, Lane and Gavin Hyatt, and Liberty Monk; a very special sister-in-law, Bette Evans, Escondido, Calif.; one nephews, Bill Evans; two nieces, Susan (Phil) Gavurnik, Sally (Mark) Benito; four great-nieces, Susanna Evans, Elaine (Michael) Huffman, Claire Gavurnik, Katy Benito; four great-nephews, Richard Evans, John Evans, Peter Benito and Jacob Gavurnik, all of California; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, AR. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, at the funeral home.
