Betty Lousenda Stephens Smith, 80, of Pine Bluff went home to be with her Lord on November 16, 2010, in Little Rock. Betty was born January 18, 1930, in Pine Bluff to Charles and Alice Elizabeth ("Betty") Stephens. Betty's father passed away when she was three years old, and her mother married August W Wood, who raised her. She was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1947. After graduating, Betty worked at Jefferson Supply Company and later International Paper in the Personnel Department. She left her job at International Paper to open a family car business with her husband, C.D. Smith, and together, with her family, they operated C.D. Smith Motor Company, Inc., in Pine Bluff for over 30 years. Betty loved being with her family and working in her community. Betty was a life-long member of Pine Bluff First Assembly of God, where she was a greeter for many years and enjoyed participating in the church's "Sonshiners" Senior Adult Group, nursing home, and food team ministries. She is survived by her husband of many years, C.D. Smith; one daughter Jo Elizabeth ("Beth") Smith Wilson and her husband Richard Michael Wilson, Sr.; two grandchildren: Amber Elizabeth Wilson Bagley and her husband Dr. David Alan Bagley of Little Rock, and Richard Michael Wilson, Jr. "Rocky" of Jonesboro; her great-granddaughter Anna Elizabeth ("Anna Beth") Bagley; and one sister Jo Wood Munn and her husband Bert Munn of Port St. Joe, Florida; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Stephens, Jr. We would like to thank our family and friends for their prayers and support. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, November 19, at Pine Bluff First Assembly of God, 1002 Ridgway Road, Rev. Ron and Kelly Woods of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, where she will be buried alongside her parents. Visitation will be at 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, at Ralph Robinson and Son, 807 South Cherry Street in Pine Bluff. The family will be gathered at Betty and C.D.'s daughter's home, 10310 Highway 270, White Hall, 71602, prior to the service.
