Ruby Nell Polk Guhl Carleton

Ruby Nell Polk Guhl Carleton, of Alexander, passed away Nov. 14, 2010, at the age of 91. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jim and Judy Guhl of Vacaville, Calif.; LaNelle and James George of Jackson, Ga.; Marilyn and Tom Jackson of Tahlequah, Okla.; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Ruby was born August 25, 1919, to Henry and Sarah Polk, the youngest of 10 children. She graduated from Central High School in Little Rock in 1937, and worked as a secretary at Lumberman's Insurance. She was a member of Vimy Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Alexander. She was a Past Matron of Adoniram Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Mabelvale. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 17th, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock (501) 455-5800. Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 18th, at 11 a.m. at Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, 14823 Vimy Ridge Rd., Alexander. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
