Roger Eifling
White Hall, AR, 1923 - 2010Roger Eifling, 87, of White Hall, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Born April 21, 1923, in the Fairmount Community near Stuttgart , he was the son of the late Gustav H. Eifling and Pauline Merten Eifling. After serving in the Merchant Marines, he joined his father and brother in the farming industry in Wabbaseka. In 1986 he retired and moved to White Hall. He was a lifelong member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Stuttgart .
Mr. Eifling was preceded in death by brothers August H. Eifling of Hollandale, Mississippi and Paul L. Eifling of Ulm . Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Coleman Eifling, whom he married on December 15, 1950, in Wabbaseka; two daughters, Karen Lynch and husband Gary of White Hall, and Judy Funderburk and husband John, of Louisville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Adam Lynch of Little Rock, Betty Catherine Funderburk Fisk and husband ,David, of Spartanburg, South Carolina and John Funderburk III of Charleston, South Carolina; and sisters, Frances Camp and Pauline Hildebrand, both of Stuttgart.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, at 2 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Stuttgart, with Pastor Glen Larsen officiating. Interment will be in Lone Tree Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorials be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 209 S. Grand Ave., Stuttgart, Ark. 72160. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Hospice Angels of Pine Bluff and Dr. Rhonda Gentry and Kathy Lee of Hematology Oncology Services in Little Rock.
