Doris Lois Ellis

Dora Lois Ellis, age 87 of Bryant, Arkansas died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Saline Memorial Hospice House. She was born on July 29, 1923 in Mabelvale, Arkansas to her late parents Louis Gilzow and Dora Mae Fulmore. Dora was a member of the Good Sam's Camping Club and a lifetime member of the PTA. She was a social worker for over 10 years for the Little Rock School District and a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church in Mabelvale. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Tollett of Russellville, Ark.; one brother, James L. Gilzow of Mt. Ida, Ark.; two grandchildren, Bradley A. Tollett and Minda L. Brown (James) all of Russellville, Ark. and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband C.W. Ellis, one brother Sim H. Gilzow and one sister Minnie F. Phillips. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Ark. (501) 455-1067 with Reverend Arlis Downs officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
