E.L. Modlin, age 73, walked into heaven holding God's hand on November 17, 2010. He was born on March 31, 1937, in Pocahontas, Ark, to the late Earl and Ludy Modlin. Mr. Modlin was a faithful member of the Southwest Christian Church of Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a member of the Pocahontas School Board and Pocahontas City Council for many years. He also served on the Mt. Ida City Council and Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Modlin devoted countless hours in developing and administering baseball and basketball programs for children in the communities in which he resided. For over 17 years he was President of the Pocahontas Pee Wee basketball program. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Modlin and J. P. Modlin; three sisters, Thelma White, Bernice Brown and Imogene Meredith. He leaves behind his very loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth Ann Green Modlin of 53 years, son, Tommy Modlin and wife Cindy of Little Rock; daughter, Susan Tedford and husband Gary of Benton; daughter, Sherri Bores and husband Michael of Bryant; daughter, Misty Modlin of Bryant; grandchildren, Holly King and husband Chance of Benton; Dustin Rhodes and wife Ashley of Benton; Bob Hunt of Benton; Rindi Rhodes of Benton; Casey Hunt of Bryant; Easton Modlin of Bryant and two great-grandchildren. He also left behind a brother Sam Modlin of Pocahontas Ark. and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is at the Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 8 .pm. Funeral services will be held at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, Arkansas on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 1 p.m. Pallbearers are Ed Epperson, John Pemberton, Bruce Newton, Steve Van Horn, Mitchell Warren and Robert Green. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Kesler, Jim Morehart, Wesley Cannon, Jody Knox and John Patrick. Memorials may be made to the Southwest Christian Church building fund to P.O.
