Jerry H. Williams, 86, of Bryant, Arkansas, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010. He was born June 15, 1924, in Conway, Arkansas, to the late Isom and Ophelia Williams. A U.S. Army veteran, Jerry served during World War II in the 10th Infantry 5th Division Third Army under General Patton in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded four Bronze Stars, the Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mae Bradshaw; and two brothers, Al Williams and Fred Williams. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 59 years, Eileen Williams; one son, J.H. Williams and wife Kay of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three daughters, Terri Williams and husband Tommy of Alexander, Arkansas, Cindy Jones and husband Robert of Bryant, and Brenda Williams of White Hall, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Dr. Jason Williams of Little Rock, Dr. Jared Williams of Pennsylvania, Clay Jones and wife Shana of Bryant, and Katie Brown and husband Jonathan of Benton, Arkansas; and two sisters, Nita Reho and husband Steve of Ohio and Peggy Linz and husband Charlie of Sherwood, Arkansas. Funeral services are private. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Saline County, P.O. Box 305, Benton, Ark. 72018 or your favorite charity.
