ROGER LOGAN BROWN, 87, was born on April 25, 1923. He fell asleep in the hope of Israel on Nov. 19, 2010. He now awaits the resurrection of the dead at the return of his Lord and Master Jesus Christ at his coming to establish the Kingdom of God forever on this earth. Roger was a Christadelphian, having been baptized into the saving covenant of the Lord on April 25, 1948. Roger graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1941 and spent 66 years working at Brown Packing Company, his family's meat packing business, which was established by his father W. G. Brown. He became president of the company in 1970. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Janyth Bishop and his parents, W. G. Brown and Cora Burton; sisters Faye Jensen and Patricia Harpole; his foster family J. Luther and Jeffie Blair Smith and their daughters, Vera Perry, Esma Fitzgerald, Raydine Glover, Roberta Miller and Annie Moon. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Minor Brown; daughter Suzanne Pidcock (Jim) and son Stephen Brown, both of Little Rock; son Douglas Brown (Roseann) and granddaughters Kaitlyn Brown, Lindsey Brown, and Lauren Brown of Randolph, New Jersey; and a son-in-law, John Bishop of Little Rock and step-mother, Hildreth Brown. Also surviving are brothers H. Blair Smith of Richmond, Virginia; W. G. Brown, Jr. of Guy; Robert Brown of Conway; a sister Billie Jean McCuin; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300, where the visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at 9 a.m., at the funeral home, followed by burial at 1:30 p.m. at Martinville Cemetery in Faulkner County.
