Nellie Lois Kumpe

Nellie Lois Kumpe, 86, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010. She was born October 11, 1924, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Joe and Faye Kumpe. Nellie was employed at Southwestern Bell for over 40 years. She enjoyed being with her family and was a life-time member of Ironton Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Carl Kumpe; and one sister, Lela Johnson. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Judy Smith (Wayne) of Benton, Ark., Chuck Kumpe (Barbara) of Jacksonville, Ark., Tony Kumpe of Little Rock, and Douglas Johnson of Tampa, Fla.; sister-in-law, Dovie Kumpe of Little Rock; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander (501-455-1067). Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
