Connie Sue Sarah Halliburton

Connie Sue Sarah Van Horn Halliburton, 75, formerly of Pine Bluff and Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Triumph Hospital in Webster, Texas. She was born August 19, 1935, in Portia, Arkansas, a daughter of Frank Theodore and Mollie Kathryn Oldham Van Horn. She was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She also graduated from Westark College which is now the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. She had worked as a credit manager for a doctor's office and later as a nurse for Pocola Nursing Home, Pocola, Oklahoma, retiring as an administrator in 2001. She was a member of both the First United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff and Charleston. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. After moving to Charleston, she stayed active in the community. Her husband, Charles Halliburton, worked as a Pharmacist for Medi-Sav Pharmacy. Mrs. Halliburton and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the world and enjoyed several years of seeing the United States, while traveling by recreational vehicle. Survivors include a son, Christopher Hughen and his wife, Christine Ann Halliburton of Manvel, Texas; and another son and his family, including grandsons, Andrew Charles Halliburton of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Trawick Hales Halliburton of Rogers, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burns Halliburton; her parents; two brothers, Thurmon and Clarington Van Horn. Graveside services by Ralph Robinson & Son will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010, in Graceland Cemetery, with Reverend Edna Morgan officiating.
