Dora Isabell Pickard, 93, of Dallas, Texas died Monday November 22, 2010. She was born July 19, 1917 in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, Canada to the late John and Isabela Wilson Park. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mack Pickard. Dora was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church in Cabot, as well as the VFW Auxiliary and was retired from the Arkansas Public Employees Association.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Teasley of Dallas, Texas and Nina Kay Gaddy of Germantown, Tennessee; one son, James Thomas (Tom) Pickard of Cabot, Arkansas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and her best friend Maureen Lee of Blodgett, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Cabot United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association or Cabot United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
